Lion Premium Grills Newsletter – No. 77, February 2020
Hello, we would like to thank you for visiting our Lion Premium Grills Monthly Newsletter; here you’ll be able to find updates on new products, photos, equipment features, recipes, customer testimonials and more! As you can see, we are now in February of 2020 and this is our 77th issue! We burst into the new year last month and with each week that passes we get increasingly closer to the prime grilling season; we are actually in the period of time where most people are preparing for the upcoming spring and summer and picking up their new grill equipment or renovating their backyard, planning a new outdoor kitchen, etc. It’s still cold but it’s hard to say that it’s ever too cold to barbecue. I know we do not let a little bit of the elements stop us from firing up our grills but even if it is, it’s never too early to begin prepping for the upcoming season. We hope you enjoy this month’s issue, we have quite a bit of content lined up for you which we’ll detail just below.
As we mentioned above, we have quite an issue lined up which we hope you find both informative as well as entertaining to read. Starting things off, we have a beautiful array of pictures from one of our customers who currently resides in the British Virgin Islands — judging by these pictures, it doesn’t really get much closer to paradise. We follow that up with a feature about upgrading your current backyard set-up; it progresses from prior to installation all the way through to completion. We also have a detailed feature on one of the key components to any outdoor kitchen / bbq island — the door drawer combo. This handy item really maximizes your potential storage space. There’s also a fantastic recipe for bbq grilled oregano chicken in this month’s issue. As always, thank you for checking out our products, it is always greatly appreciated on our end!
Lion Premium Grills in the British Virgin Islands!
We were recently provided some absolutely beautiful pictures by one of our customers Joseph Agen who resides in Virgin Gorda (which is located in the British Virgin Islands). We just had to feature this in this month’s newsletter. Many thanks to Joseph and we hope you enjoy the following images!
Lion Premium Grills: Upgrade Your Backyard!
One of our favorite newsletter features are backyard upgrades and transformations laid out in a step by step fashion. We always find it exciting to see a gradual transformation from before the installation to the end results; it clearly lays out just how much visual appeal our products have as well as the way it can basically define your entire outdoor set-up by acting as an eye-popping centerpiece. Not only will our grills and islands provide that “wow” factor but they are also crafted with the utmost precision and expertise, providing high end functionality in addition to sleek, beautiful design. We hope you enjoy our latest before and after feature below. Thank you!
As with any good before and after feature, we’re going to start out with an image of the prepped and empty patio before any outdoor kitchen / bbq island has been moved in. As such, there’s not much to say about this except that the designated spot looks to be absolutely perfect with foliage, plenty of shade, and space to comfortably traverse. The electrical box, gas line, and other assorted hook-ups are visible above which is essential if you’re running natural gas instead of liquid propane as your desired fuel choice. This spot will house a beautiful three piece island and custom fire pit.
Above we have the nearly finished outdoor kitchen / bbq island. Most of the remaining Lion components and accessories have been installed; you can see profile view of our beautiful BBQ grill, as well as the sideburner and sink. The patio style cover provides cover from the elements, as well as tons of shade making this particular set-up amazing for any weather or situation; all angles are covered! The countertop overhang provides the perfect amount of space for bar stools which makes this a great area to congregate and converse, eat, have drinks, etc.

Lion Premium Grills Featured Recipe: BBQ Grilled Oregano Chicken
Hello, welcome to our monthly featured recipe! Each and every month we showcase a delicious recipe that you can recreate to perfection on your Lion BBQ grill. For August we’re going to take a look at an absolutely mouthwatering recipe — grilled oregano chicken. The trick here is that we slow cook this over medium heat which leaves a beautiful char as well as maintaining a wonderfully juicy and moist chicken. The marinade adds stunning levels of flavor. This is a fan favorite around our office and we believe you’ll most likely love it just as much. Enjoy!
1 (3 1/2–4-pounds) chicken, halved lengthwise
10 oil-packed anchovy fillets (chop finely)
4 garlic cloves (grate finely)
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper
1 1/2 cups green olives, plus 1/2 cup brine reserved
1/2 cup olive oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh oregano, plus leaves for serving
Vegetable oil (for grilling)
Tomatoes in Chile-Fennel Oil (tomatoes in just chile oil is fine as well)
To start things off, take your anchovies, olive oil, lemon juice, and the reserved olive brine and toss these ingredients in a medium sized bowl. After thoroughly mixing your ingredients, season the mix with kosher salt and pepper. Take half of the mixture and separate it into a large resealable bag. Add the chopped oregano and onion to the bagged mixture. Refrigerate the remaining anchovie mix.
Take your chicken and season it with the salt and pepper. After seasoning, take the chicken and add it to the bag with the anchovie, oregano, and onion mixture. Lightly toss to coat the chicken. Marinate the chicken for anywhere from four to twelve hours.
Once you’re ready, prep your grill by turning it on and setting it to roughly medium heat. Prior to this, grease the grates with vegetable oil to prevent any sticking. Once you’re ready, take your marinated chicken out of the bag; let any excessive marinade drip back into the bag (this is all personal preference). Start skin side up and grill the chicken for thirty to forty-five minutes. During this period of time, turn the chicken occasionally. You’ll notice a beautiful char the chicken once it’s done. Please make sure that it’s cooked completely through.
Take the separated anchovie mixture that you placed in the bowl and add some olives to the mix; crush them roughly into the mix and add your lemon zest. Take your tomatoes in chile oil and ladle onto plate; place your chicken on top and add your anchovie and olive mixture to your desired preference with oregano leaves to garnish.
I grew sick of paying for the ability to “shop” at some of these “value driven” big retail stores/clubs. A lot of the products were of lesser quality and the saving weren’t great. When deciding on a new gas bbq grill, I went ahead and ordered the Lion bbq grill and this product has shown to be far superior to what I owned previously. The grill is just gorgeous, it’s versatile, and it cooks extremely well as far as it heats up evenly, provides a nice sear and so on. Amazing product! Gregory J. - Phoenix, AZ
Lion Premium Grills: Taking a Look at Our Door & Drawer Combo
This month we are going to take a look at one of our most popular accessories — the Lion Premium Grills Door and Drawer Combo. Below we’ll delve into what makes this such a vital piece to any outdoor kitchen / bbq island set-up. Simply put, it’s extremely durable, sleekly designed, and greatly expands the functionality of any outdoor kitchen.
First off, our door and double drawer combo unit is constructed from dual lined 304 grade 16 gauge stainless steel. We continuously hone in on this fact, but it is one of the most important points that we like to stress about our products. It is the highest grade of commercial stainless steel, it is durable and resistant to rust, it looks impressive to the eye, and is anything actually more important than the very material that the product is constructed from? Lower grades of stainless steel are flimsy, will rust, and are susceptible to bending, warping, and other types of damage. Simply put, the difference in quality is immediately noticeable — there are no two ways about it. We take the utmost pride in the providing the user with only the best quality available.
Second, the functionality of this unit can not be stressed enough. The access door features a towel rack and the double drawers contain more than enough space to store any multitude of cooking accessories, tools, etc. The door has a magnetic latch to prevent any unwanted opening/door swinging, etc. The drawers featured polished handles. As you can see, the double drawer combo unit also looks beautiful; the 16 gauge stainless steel shines and shimmers, the handles are tastefully placed, and the door is adorned with a subtle Lion logo. This unit definitely pops visually speaking. As was mentioned previously, this is one of our most popular upgrades; the drawer access is a very big deal and provides a ton of added convenience and functionality.
The 40 inch grill has been a treat so far. It heats up very fast and I’m able to sear food on here very nicely. It looks very nice and so far it is cooking very well. This grill is leaps and bounds ahead of my old unit, plus it fits perfectly in the island I had made some years back. I recommend this grill highly. Bill Macon - Duluth, GA
